Making Healthier Choices as a Woman

Every Friday in our Facebook group, Training Keepers of the Home, we share tips on health and/or recipes. This got me thinking about health in general and that as women how we often put ourselves last when it comes to our own health.
Many women truly do put their families first in every sense of the word, causing themselves to neglect their own health. However, our own health can suffer if we do not take the time to exercise, get enough sleep, and eat healthy.

 Ask yourself these questions?

Do you fill your body with processed junk food?

Do you stress yourself out too much?

Do you feel well rested when you wake up?
Do you sleep enough?
Do you drink enough water?
Do you smoke?
Do you consume too much alcohol?
Do you rely on caffeine to get you through the day?
Do you generally feel unwell?
How many times a week are you active?
Is your skin continuously dry and itchy?
How you answered those questions should give you an idea about your health.
Obviously, this is not an all inclusive list of questions, but just enough to get you thinking. Maybe these questions will provide the trigger needed to get you thinking about your own health and changes that need to occur.

We all have areas in our lives that we can and should improve on. For example, I have allowed myself am out of shape and eat too many carbs.
You may struggle with an addiction to smoking. Perhaps, another does not give her body enough rest. Maybe you are a mom that is addicted to smoking and it has begun to affect your health.
Sooner or later bad habits in our lifestyle find a way to catch up to us.
You were only given one body to live in.
It is your responsibility to take care of it. That means what you eat, consume, or do to your body becomes your responsibility and we have to live with the consequences of our lifestyle choices.
