- Keep a stocked pantry and freezer.
- Only buy the necessities by sticking to your grocery list.

- Don’t eat out.
- Shop with cash and a calculator, it is more difficult to part with cash, unlike using a credit or debit card (where there is a disconnect).
- Use up what is in your fridge, freezer, or pantry first. Get creative with meals you can make.
