When the reality is that most tasks do not take as long as we think they will take, so we put them off.


Many tasks can be done in ten minutes or less, and can leave you feeling accomplished and productive at the end of the day.

50 Things That Can Be Done in 10 Minutes or Less

  1. Start a load of laundry and put one in the dryer to start.
  2. Fold and put away a load of laundry.
  3. Water all of the plants in your home.
  4. Empty garbage cans and take to the dumpster.
  5. Wash a few dirty windows.
  6. Shake all of the rugs in your home.
  7. Wipe down kitchen cupboards.
  8. Write each member of your family a love letter.
  9. Plan next weeks menu.
  10. Clean off the table.
  11. Organize a junk drawer.
  12. Open all of the mail and put it away.
  13. Read a short devotion or a short chapter in the Bible.
  14. Walk in place and work up a good sweat.
  15. Work on your abs, thighs, or arms.
  16. Make a bed and vacuum a bedroom.
  17. Pick up your kids toys.
  18. Read to your child.
  19. Take the dog for a short walk.
  20. Pray.
  21. Set a timer and make it your goal to fill a trash bag with either trash or donatable items.
  22. Organize your recipe drawer.
