Christy Wright: Business Boutique Book Review

What is your dream?

What are you passionate about?

What do you just love to do and could spend hours doing?

Have you often been told that you should go into business to sell a certain product that you make?

Ever thought about owning your own business?

Owning your own business

Women entrepreneur, is a woman who owns her own business. To some, the thought of having their own business may be exciting and to others it may be very daunting.  As a stay-at-home mom the thought of owning a business has not always been on the top of my list.  Yet the dream of creating more income doing what I love has always ranked high on my priority list.  Seeking inspiration in the quest of turning my passion into income, I often listen to Dave Ramsey on the radio or on his podcasts. Dave Ramsey gives solid financial advice on how to get out of debt and create wealth. (Here is my debt story.)

And one of the recurring personalities on Dave’s show is Christy Wright. She is an author, speaker, and teacher. She has a passion for women in business. In her latest book, “Business Boutique:  A Women’s Guide For Making Money Doing What She Loves”, she explains that there “is a movement of women stepping into their God-given gifts to make money doing what they love.”

Christy Wright, in her book, will help you take the “ideas in your head and the dream in your heart and turn them into action.” Her book will become a handbook that will help you create a step-by-step, customized plan to start and grow your business. It will show you how to manage your time so you can have a business and life that you love. It explains overwhelming business stuff like pricing, taxes, and budgeting in simple terms.  And finally it will teach you how to use marketing to reach the right people in the right way.

A few more things I have learned:

  • Fear is normal
  • How to overcome doubt and eliminate excuses
  • How to go into business without going into debt. You go into business to make money and not go into debt.
  • Stop listening to the lies and excuses.

She seeks to encourage, motivate, and inspire you to find the answers to discovering what you are passionate about and how to turn that into profitable income. If you are a dreamer and need a plan, she takes you step-by-step through the process of creating that business plan. She teaches you to plan with a purpose and how to win. This is not a MLM (multi-level marketing) scheme, she is not selling you anything besides her book. However, she promotes hard work and a plan to make a business last.

Some final thoughts

Business Boutique targets those aspiring females who are striving to become entrepreneurs, especially mom’s. Well-written and using simple methods, this book is a hit. You will feel like you are friends with Christy by the time you have finished this book.  Whether you already have a business idea or are in the dreamer stage, this book is the one for you.
